The Dark Flame is a craftable Hardmode magic weapon. By holding the attack button, the player will charge a shadowy monster projectile over the course of 0.75 seconds. The shadowy monster homes in on nearby enemies and inflicts the Decaying Flesh debuff, dealing high damage over time and reducing enemy horizontal speed by 25%; as a result, bosses cannot receive the debuff.
Its best modifier is Mythical.
