The Conch Shell is a Pre-Hardmode Bard weapon that is dropped by Queen Jellyfish. When used, it releases a wave of sound which falls downwards before sharply rising up. The wave of sound deals 50% increased damage to enemies above the player but deal 50% less damage to them through tiles. Outside of the direction fired, the angle the sound waves rise is static and is not affected by the position of the cursor.
When used, it empowers nearby players and the user with the Critical Strike Chance II empowerment.
Its best modifier is Fabled.
Notes
- Due to the increased damage to enemies above you, this weapon is particularly strong against large, airborne enemies such as Demons or the Viscount.
History
- 1.7.2.0: Damage increased from 26 to 28.
- 1.7.1.6: Now deals 50% less damage if it hits enemies through tiles.
- 1.6.5.5: Nerfed damage from 30 to 26, knockback from 8 to 1, buffed inspiration cost from 2 to 1, use time from 28 to 22 and increased area of damage greatly.
- 1.6.1.0:
- Buffed damage from 26 to 30 and bonus damage to enemies above the player from 25% to 50%.
- Now a Brass instrument.
