Captain's Poignards are consumable Hardmode throwing weapons that can autofire, arc downwards after a small distance, and can pierce up to 4 enemies. They are dropped by Pirate Captains during the Pirate Invasion event and are also sold by the Pirate. If a poignard strikes an enemy within about 8 tiles from the user, they will be granted the Burst of Speed buff, increasing their throwing speed.
