The Arsenal Staff is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. It spawns a possessed sword and shield that both continuously charge at enemies to inflict damage. The shield briefly inflicts the Stunned debuff on hit. If the Arsenal Staff is used more than once, multiple minions do not spawn; instead, the spawned sword becomes stronger (+16% damage), the shield stuns enemies longer (+0.33 seconds), and both become faster for each additional summon, up to a maximum of 4 minion slots consumed.
By default, the sword and shield appear copper, then iron, then silver, then finally gold. Further attempts at using the Arsenal Staff after that will not summon additional minions or empower the existing minion further.
Like other minions, the possessed sword and shield are invincible and follow the player for an unlimited amount of time, unless the player dies or cancels the buff.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, Minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Arsenal Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
