The Demon Blood Sword is a Hardmode broadsword. It launches a blood bolt projectile with every swing, which damages and pierces multiple enemies. Hitting enemies with the sword or its projectile generates blood charges, indicated by red globules that surround the wielder. After acquiring 4 blood charges, the next attack using the weapon will consume the charges to deal extra damage and restore some life to the wielder, as well as display a red explosion. However, after this attack, the wielder will receive the Blood Harvest debuff, preventing them from being able to deal this bonus attack again for 10 seconds. The projectile also emits particles when released, and the sword itself auto-swings.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
