The Schmelze is a unique Hardmode melee weapon that is dropped by the Hell Bringer Mimic. It throws fiery javelins at no ammunition or mana cost; these javelins inflict the Schmelze Fury debuff that deals additional damage, starting at a slow 20 damage per two seconds, but can stack with successive hits on the same enemy, up to 80 damage per second. The javelins also emit light and particles.

Notes

• This item acts very similarly to the Scourge of the Corruptor, Daybreak, and Spearmint.
• The name comes from the German word schmelzen - to smelt.
