Thorium Mod 1.7.1.0 served to port the mod to Terraria 1.4.4, and add additions and changes to the mod in the scope of the Labor of Love update.

Changes
- Optimized all sounds and music in the mod, greatly lowering the size of the .tmod file.
- Increased the volume of music slightly.
- Removed "Astral Barrier Wand", "Mushymen Staff", "Fertilizer", "Arcane Dust".
- Temporarily removed Spirit Band, as it no longer functions correctly in the current version of tModLoader.
- Removed "Melting" debuff and replaced it with Hellfire.
- Renamed "Enchanted Barrier Wand" to Enchanted Cane, "Eskimo Banjo" to Snowstorm Banjo, "Astral Fang" to Eclipse Fang, "Molten Maggot" to Molten Tardigrade.

- Updated all dodge effects to not apply to the Empress of Light at daytime and Dungeon Guardian.
- Updated Whispering armor to whisper about Deerclops, Queen Slime, and Empress of Light.
- Updated Brew Blueprint and The Almighty Recipe to have the Quest rarity.
- Updated World Engine to now display the Legendary difficulty when playing on a world that has it available.

- Changed some Big Instruments to never gain the ability to autoswing (possible with external mods such as "OmniSwing", or 1.4.4’s "Autofire" setting).
- Changed Vicious Mockery frustration text to be randomized.
- Changed Master Arbalest Hood to provide specialist ranged and arrow benefits, and changed Master Marksman's Scouter Set to provide only bullet benefits.
- Changed Frostburn Pouch:
- Changed recipe from 5 Leather to 6 Cloth and 10 Icy Shards to 8.
- Now applies Frostbite to hit enemies for x seconds every x seconds, as opposed to Frostburn for x seconds at a 15% chance.
- Changed Sandshroud Pouch recipe from 5 Leather to 6 Cloth, 10 Sturdy Fossils to 8, and 8 Antlion Mandibles to 0.
- Changed Queen's Glowstick to be held out, and to emit pink light when held and thrown.
- Changed Wishing Glass:
- Now has a new UI selection menu similar to The Grand Design for destinations.
- Now requires a Shellphone in recipe, allowing for teleportation to their destinations as well as displaying information to the player.
- Changed Terrarium armor set bonus class "focus" calculation to now include minion and sentry slots.
- Changed Steamkeeper Watch to now make sentries gain up to 15% damage over the course of 2 minutes.

- Changed Weapon Master to not have a "Happiness" button if a Demon is hired.
- Changed Coin Bags, Gilded Bat, Gilded Lycan, Gilded Slime, Hell Bringer Mimic, Mycelium Mimic and Submerged Mimic to drop their respective banner after 25 kills.
- Changed Buried Champion:
- Magical Burst burst attack, when reflected, now passes through blocks and only damages Fallen Champions.
- Changed Fallen Champion health from 3 / 3 / 3 to 2 / 2 / 2; they now only require 2 hits from reflected Magical Bursts to disappear.
- Changed Borean Strider to not swim on Water and to not have its gravity affected in Space or water.
- Changed The Primordials and Dream Eater to only take 75% damage from Terraprisma.

- Reworked "Zephyr's Feather" into the Zephyr's Grip, a special grappling hook:
- Grappling in an upwards direction will summon a Hatchling at the apex of the hook's trajectory if a tile would not be impacted.
- If a tile is not impacted, the hook will grapple onto the Hatchling instead, launching the user in the grappled direction while also providing Featherfall for a short duration.
- The midair grapple does not refresh extra jumps, or Rocket Boots or flight time, and the Hatchling can only appear once before the player needs to touch solid ground again.
- Reworked Sword Sheaths:
- Swinging a sword while the Sheath strike is still charging will now reset the charge timer.
- Adjusted sheath strike damage formula to account for melee critical strike chance and melee speed bonuses.
- On-hit projectiles spawned from swords, such as the Bee Keeper's bees or the Doom Fire Axe's explosion, will no longer have their damage also increased with the sheath strike.
- Sheath strikes will apply for the entire sword swing duration instead of just affecting the first enemy struck. Subsequent enemies struck in a swing will reduce the sheath strike's damage, similar to Whips. On-hit effects such as the Gardener's Sheath teleport will only activate on the first hit.
- Sheath strikes are now unaffected by random damage variance (±15%).
- Changed Writhing Sheath so its first hit is now a guaranteed critical strike with half the damage.
- Adjustments to the Don't dig up secret world seed:
- Bosses no longer have day/night summon requirements.
- World generation:
- Scarlet Chest Platforms and the Blood Chamber will generate in the simulated Cavern layer.
- Living Leaf Bushes will no longer generate only on the outer fifths of the world.
- Ores will have their depth profile flipped; for example, Thorium Ore will spawn in the simulated Cavern layer.
- Items:
- Wooden Whistle is now craftable with Ash Wood.
- Wooden Baton is now craftable with any Wood.
Balance
- Rebalanced Mage Hand mana cost from 4 to 5 and use time from 10 to 15 (effective mana spent per second decreased by 4), and now displays mana consumed via text popup.
- Rebalanced Frost Burnt (Flayer variant) contact damage from 55 / 110 / 165 to 40 / 80 / 120 and sword damage from 50 / 100 / 150 to 75 / 150 / 225.
- Buffed Basic Cook’s Foods to now give 2 minutes of Well Fed.
- Buffed the duration of all sentries from 2 minutes to 10 minutes.
- Buffed Shark Storm chance to save ammo from 30% to 33%.
- Buffed Power Banner to now increase damage by 100% instead of 50%.
- Buffed The Grand Thunder Bird damage from 40 / 60 / 80 to 40 / 60 / 90.
- Buffed Fallen Beholder potion drop from Healing Potion to Greater Healing Potion.
- Nerfed Butterfly Staff Whip tag damage from 100% to 25%.
- Nerfed Steamgunner Controller Whip tag damage from 100% to 75%.
- Nerfed Valkyrie Blade damage from 42 to 38 and Whip tag damage from 100% to 50%.
- Nerfed Sonic Amplifier useTime delay from 16 to 20, and damage from 305 to 275.
- Nerfed Launch Jumper to deal true damage to the player (no longer reduced by defense).
- Nerfed Sinister Acorn and Fake Coin Soul Link left-click attacks' invincibility frame time from 20 and 30 frames respectively to 15 frames.
- Nerfed Crystal Wave base movement speed increase from 4% to 2%.
- Nerfed Terrarium Particle Sprinters movement speed from 40 mph to 38 mph and movement speed increase from 12% to 10%.
- Nerfed Rocket Cart maximum speed from 112 mph to 82 mph.
- Nerfed Li'l Devil's Wand mana cost from 20 to 50.

- Fixed various typos.
- Fixed "Coins Generated" text displaying beneath modded prefix text.
- Fixed glitches with various visual effects when the “Blood and Gore” setting is disabled.
- Fixed Out of Combat icon overlapping with the Inspiration wheel if the player has the wheel toggled to appear next to their health bar.
- Fixed some crashes during world generation.
- Fixed Meteorites spawning in the Natural Graveyard, possibly destroying the Ancient Phylactery.
- Fixed Cook's Food missing life/mana restore tooltip.
- Fixed Stuffed Life Fruit and Mana Delight incorrect "full stomach" duration.

- Fixed Soft Serve Sunderer projectiles having incorrect knockback.
