The Mole Crate is a Pre-Hardmode pet summoning item that can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant. It spawns a Skull Cat pet to follow you around. The Skull Cat is immune to damage from enemies and despawns upon player death.

• If the Show Donator Item Color configuration option is disabled, the Mole Crate will have a rarity of instead of the standard .

• The Mole Crate and Skull Cat pet are a reference to the game Super Animal Royale. In it, the Skullcat is one of the 4 breeds on playable animals available from the start.
  • The Skull Cat's purple coloration is directly based on the starting Skullcat, the Super Skullcat.
  • In the game, mole crates are the special crate variant with better potential items.
