Proof of Avarice is a Hardmode helmet that drops from all normal Mimics and Lihzahrd Mimics.

It gives 9 defense, 10% increased damage taken, makes enemies drop money on each hit and additionally makes them drop more money on death.

Notes

• The effect stacks with the effects of the Greedy Ring, allowing for even more coins to be obtained per enemy.
• Although nearly identical to normal Mimics, those spawned from the use of Suspicious Golden Keys do not drop Proof of Avarice.
• In addition, Mimics spawned via Statues do drop Proof of Avarice. This may be an oversight.
• If the Show Donator Item Color configuration option is disabled, Proof of Avarice will have a rarity of instead of the standard .

Trivia

• This item is a reference to the Symbol of Avarice from the Dark Souls series, both dropping from Mimic-type enemies.
