Thorium Mod 1.6.5.5 served to fix some issues and inconsistencies not found in 1.6.5.0 to 1.6.5.4, as well as touch up various content, such as the Town NPCs and the Illusionist. Additionally, the patch adds some new items, including the winners of the 2022 Thorium Mod Painting Contest.

- Changed Shooting Star Blast-Guitar by adjusting the way its "bounce-stars" attack the impact area.
- Changed Sound Sage's Lament:
- Attack is now produced from the player's position rather than the cursor's position.
- Counts as a wind instrument.
- Applies Empowerment - Maximum Resource III and Empowerment - Resource Regeneration III.
- Changed self-defense attacks for the Cobbler, Blacksmith, and Druid.
- Rewrote all of the Blacksmith's dialogue.
- Placing Acorns on Cherry, Marshy, or Spooky Astroturf will now clear the grass around it to give it space to grow.
Balance
- Rebalanced Twin's Ire base damage from 50 to 44, but each hit now deals 100% of its damage instead of only 75%.
- Rebalanced Wondrous Wand:
- Buffed damage from 38 to 56.
- Buffed Fire form damage scaling from 50% to 75%.
- Buffed Ichor form damage scaling from 90% to 100%, but nerfed mana cost from 12 to 14.
- Nerfed Cursed damage scaling from 90% to 75%.
- Rebalanced Conch Shell damage from 30 to 26, and knockback from 8 to 1, but buffed its inspiration cost from 2 to 1, use time from 28 to 22, and increased its 'effective area of damage' greatly.
- Rebalanced Sound Sage's Lament damage from 140 to 104, projectile penetration from infinite to 5, and use time from 24 to 34, but now its damage increase stacks up to 125% and each individual part of the attack can hit the same target.
- Buffed Berserker Staff use time from 18 to 16, shoot speed from 10 to 12, and mana cost from 14 to 10.
- Buffed Adamantite Ricochet use time from 26 to 22, ricochet amount from 3 to 4, and is now less likely to get ignored by enemy invincibility frames.
- Buffed Titanium Ricochet use time from 25 to 21, ricochet amount from 3 to 4, and is now less likely to get ignored by enemy invincibility frames.
- Buffed Volt Hatchet damage from 32 to 54.
- Buffed Crietz effect cooldown from 3 seconds to 1 second.
- Buffed Metabolic Pills life recovery rate from 1 to 2.
- Nerfed Valadium Staff use time from 40 to 46.
- Nerfed Black MIDI damage from 200 to 180.
- Nerfed Warmonger Potion buff duration from 10 minutes to 7 minutes.
Fixes
- Fixed various equipment textures not being affected by dyes.
- Fixed Wild Loincloth missing its female equip texture variant.
- Fixed Aquatic Depths lighting changes from Choking Aura and Untainted Waters being too strong on Retro and Trippy Lighting Modes.
- Fixed Magma-bound Fishing Line allowing Hardmode catches in Pre-Hardmode.
- Fixed Heartstriker missing its tooltip.
- Fixed Battle Sprout visual oddities when on sloped tiles.
- Fixed Valefor not spawning its homing projectiles.
- Fixed Bee Booties bees activating summoner-related effects on hit.
- Fixed Steamkeeper Watch causing certain sentries' visuals to repeat when spawned.
- Fixed Kick Petal petals not activating.
- Fixed Sword Sheaths and helmet glowmasks appearing on the player when using transformations.
- Fixed Out of Touch being applied to players who lack bonus healing.
- Fixed Borean Strider not dropping coins.
- Fixed Scouter Cores not despawning when the player dies.
- Fixed various enemies being able to spawn in the Dungeon in multiplayer when they shouldn't.
- Fixed various enemies not spawning if the player stands in front of a player-placed wall when they should.
- Fixed Army Ant, Corpse Bloom, and Grounded Hag being able to spawn in the Jungle Temple.
- Fixed Potion Shelf Block and Bookshelf Block visual glitch when placed next to Dirt Blocks.
