The Gardener's Sheath is a craftable Hardmode, post-Plantera Sword Sheath accessory. While equipped, the player will receive the Sheath buff every 3 seconds they do not damage any enemy with a sword; the counter for receiving the buff will reset when changing to a non-sword item.
With the Gardener's Sheath, the Sheath buff increases the damage of the player's next sword strike by 500% and causes a guaranteed critical hit; the resultant strike deals 1200% of the sword's base damage in total. Additionally, the player will teleport to the cursor's position upon dealing damage; teleporting deals 50% of the critical strike damage in the area around the player, and grants them half a second of invincibility. Unlike the Rod of Discord, the player cannot teleport through tiles with the Gardener's Sheath.
Only one Sword Sheath accessory can be equipped at a time.

Trivia
- This item's name, crafting recipe, and effect are based on the character Youmu Konpaku from the Touhou Project series. Youmu is a half-human half-phantom residing in the Netherworld as a gardener and sword instructor. In combat, she travels near-instantaneously with her sword swings.
