The Empty Wormhole Potion is a Hardmode light pet summoning item sold by the Wizard after defeating the Fallen Beholder. It spawns a Useless Friend to follow you around. The Useless Friend is immune to damage from enemies, despawns upon player death, and emits light from the Torch (or Glowstick if underwater) they hold.

There are 8 possible variants of the Useless Friend, appearing as characters with different hairstyles and armor, as well as wings when flying:

• Molten armor+ Flame Wings
• Necro armor+ Bone Wings
• Jungle armor+ Leaf Wings
• Bee armor+ Bee Wings
• Bronze armor+ Champion's Wings
• Templar armor+ Angel Wings
• Crier armor+ Fairy Wings
• Justicar set+ Demon Wings

Notes

• If the Show Donator Item Color configuration option is disabled, the Empty Wormhole Potion will have a rarity of instead of the standard .

Trivia

• With the exception of Justicar set (an original set created by the donator), each of the variants represent one of the possible classes available between both vanilla Terraria and the Thorium Mod:
  • The Molten armor represents the Warrior.
  • The Necro armor represents the Ranger.
  • The Jungle armor represents the Sorcerer.
  • The Bee armor represents the Summoner.
  • The Bronze armor represents the Thrower.
  • The Templar armor represents the Healer.
  • The Crier armor represents the Bard.
