The Fresh Pickle is a Hardmode pet summoning item that can be bought from the Cook during a Solar Eclipse. It spawns a Normal Dog to follow you around. The Normal Dog is immune to damage from enemies and despawns upon player death.
While the player is idle for 3 seconds, the Normal Dog will lay down and sleep. While asleep, 'Z's and demonic faces will emanate from the dog.

Trivia
- The Fresh Pickle is a reference to the adult animated sitcom called Mr. Pickles, which stars a demonic border collie owned by the Goodman family of an old-fashioned community called Old Town. The titular border collie is only normal in appearance, as the show depicts his many awful actions.
