The Lovegun is a craftable Hardmode novelty item. It fires an arcing stream of Love Potion that bursts into hearts after a distance. Any player, enemy, or NPC hit by the stream will be inflicted with the Lovestruck buff, causing them to release hearts; this effect is purely cosmetic. The Lovegun can be used limitlessly and does not consume any ammunition or mana.
