Silk armor is a craftable Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Silk and Fallen Stars. It takes a total of 15 Silk and 15 Fallen Stars to craft a full suit.

It consists of a Silk Hat, Silk Tabard, and Silk Leggings.

The Silk Hat gives 1 defense, increases maximum mana by 20, and slightly increased mana regeneration; the Silk Tabard and Silk Leggings each give 2 defense, increases maximum mana by 20, and slightly increased mana regeneration.

A full set provides a total of 5 defense, increases maximum mana by 60, and increased mana regeneration. Its set bonus increases the player's magic damage by 12% whenever they are above 90% of their maximum mana, indicated by the player emanating star particles similarly to Fallen Stars.

Tips

• As of 1.7.1.6, each set piece increases mana regen delay reduction rate by 1 (similarly to Mana Regeneration Band) and mana regen bonus by 1 (a very minor effect - Mana Regeneration Band provides 25, for comparsion). Due to regeneration rate of mana being based on the player's current mana , attacking in short bursts allows for the player to recover their mana faster than expending it all in a single burst. This, compounded with the increased mana regeneration delay reduction from the armor set, allows for the best use of the damage bonus from the set bonus.
