Dread armor is a craftable Hardmode armor set crafted from Dread Souls. It takes a total of 40 Dread Souls to craft a full suit.
It consists of a Dread Skull, Dread Chestplate and Dread Greaves.
The Dread Skull gives 18 defense, 10% increased critical strike chance and 12% increased melee speed; the Dread Chestplate gives 19 defense, 20% increased melee damage and 12% increased melee speed; and the Dread Greaves gives 18 defense, 18% increased movement speed and 12% increased melee speed.
A full set provides a total of 55 defense, 10% increased critical strike chance, 36% increased melee speed, 20% increased melee damage and 18% increased movement speed. Its set bonus increases movement speed by 80%, melee speed by 10% and raises maximum speed up to 106mph; while near full speed, melee damage and critical strike chance are further increased. The set also causes the wearer to emit an after-image effect while moving.
