The Bird Feeder is a craftable furniture item with grounded and hanging configurations that can be interchangeably crafted between one another. The player can right-click the placed Bird Feeder with 5 Seeds or 1 of any fruit to place them inside the Bird Feeder. After a period of time, a bird will be attracted to the Bird Feeder and convert the placed item; Seeds are turned into a random fruit, and fruit are turned into a random potion. The type of fruit inputted into the Bird Feeder will affect the type of bird attracted and the pool of potential potions returned.
It takes 15 minutes after placing items in a Bird Feeder to attract a bird, only during the day. This results in an item always being placed in the Bird Feeder at the start of the next day, or later if Seeds or fruit are placed in the evening.
When a Bird Feeder is placed or in a player's inventory, there is a chance that any vegetation growing on normal grass, Clay Pots, or Planter Boxes will yield Seeds.
Bird Feeders cannot be placed underground, and for every 3 Bird Feeders after an initial 3, it requires 1 Pylon in the world to be placed.
Both the grounded and hanging configurations have 15 different variants that can be toggled by right-clicking. Each variant functions the same, and is purely visual.

Notes
- Certain fruit will not be available as outputs until certain criteria have been met:
- Aril and Lychee: after defeating a Goblin Army.
- Kumquat, Persimmon, Dragon Fruit, and Star Fruit: after defeating Wall of Flesh.
- Soursop and Mangosteen: after defeating Plantera.
- Cranberry and Raspberry: after defeating an Everscream.
- Grapes cannot be placed into a Bird Feeder, as they are not internally categorized as a fruit.
- Breaking a Bird Feeder will also drop all of its contents.
- The Bird Feeder's chance of dropping Seeds does not stack with the Blowpipe's.
- The surface condition is not changed by the Don't dig up secret world seed; The simulated surface is not a valid location.
- If the
Show Donator Item Colorconfiguration option is disabled, the Bird Feeder will have a rarity of
