The Fake Coin is a Transformation tool that rarely drops from Mimics. When used, it transforms the user into a Chest Mimic. While transformed, the player can fit through 2-block tall gaps and has a top speed of 31 miles per hour but cannot use items with the exception of Soul Link. In addition, while transformed, the player will reduce enemy aggro while remaining still.

Like other Transformation items, it can go into the Mount equipment slot, and as such cannot be used while the player is on a Mount.

Notes

• Although nearly identical to normal Mimics, those spawned from the use of Suspicious Golden Keys do not drop Fake Coins.
• In addition, Mimics spawned from Statues drop Fake Coins at the regular rate. This may be an oversight.
