The Whispering Dagger is a craftable Hardmode Support Spell. On use, it afflicts the user with the Consuming Whispers debuff which overloads them with dark energy for one minute, giving them a dark purple tint, and increasing their radiant damage by 50% and radiant weapon usage speed by 35%. At the end of the duration, the player will be consumed by the darkness, reducing life to 10% of current life. This effect bypasses any method of damage immunity or death prevention.

• This spell is a reference to one of the shadow priest's artifact weapons, Xal'atath, Blade of the Black Empire, in the famous MMORPG World of Warcraft.
  • The tooltip, effect and the debuff, are also a reference to the shadow priest's talent "Surrender to Madness", which has the same effect of increasing power for a period, at the cost of death.
