The Technique: Blood Lotus is a Hardmode Technique Scroll that is dropped by Blood Mages, Bloody Wargs, and Smothering Shades. Once activated, it allows the player to grant themselves the Blood Lotus buff by pressing the Throwing Technique key, at the cost of 3 Technique Points. While Blood Lotus is active, the player will spin in place, hovering if in midair, and rapidly throws blood knives at the closest nearby enemy. These blood knives are not affected by gravity and steal life equivalent to 10% of the damage they deal. They also adopt the same critical strike chance bonuses as the current throwing weapon being held. Note that the player cannot move while Blood Lotus is active, and the buff cannot be cancelled like other buffs.
As with all Technique Scrolls, Technique Points are generated by dealing throwing damage, and will be lost outside of combat. Only one Technique Scroll may be active at a time.
