Blocks

The Thorium Mod currently adds 66 new Blocks, including both natural and player-crafted types.

Soils

Block	Appearance	Mined With	Notes
Marine Block Leaky Marine Block		Nightmare or Deathbringer Pickaxe	Leaky Marine Blocks serve as the primary material of the Aquatic Depths, periodically generating water around themselves. When mined, they turn into Marine Blocks, which do not generate water. Leaky Marine Blocks can be obtained by the player through crafting.
Mossy Marine Block Leaky Mossy Marine Block		Nightmare or Deathbringer Pickaxe	Mossy Marine Blocks are a variant of Marine Blocks that behave like their alternative, but additionally allows Marine Kelp Seeds to be planted on its surface.
Brackish Clump		Copper or Tin Pickaxe	A variant of Silt and Slush found in the Aquatic Depths. It can be used at the Extractinator. In addition to being found, Brackish Clumps can drop from Crown of Thorns and Krakens.

Mossy Platinum Ore		Copper or Tin Pickaxe		Found in the Aquatic Depths in world with Platinum Ore. Turns into normal Platinum Ore when mined.
Thorium Ore		Iron or Lead Pickaxe		Generates more commonly in the lower levels of the Caverns.
Aquaite		Nightmare or Deathbringer Pickaxe	*	Found in the Aquatic Depths. Can be destroyed by explosions if placed by the player.
Lodestone Chunk		Cobalt or Palladium Pickaxe		Has a 50% chance of being generated instead of Valadium Chunks after killing Fallen Beholder.
Valadium Chunk		Cobalt or Palladium Pickaxe		Has a 50% chance of being generated instead of Lodestone Chunks after killing Fallen Beholder.
Illumite Chunk		Mythril or Orichalcum Pickaxe		Generated into the world after killing Plantera. Generates light.
